DIY Wreath: Perfect Statement for Your Front Door #Pinterest.

DIY WREATH copy

Has anyone else gotten sucked into Pinterest? I see so many DIY décor ideas for my home and crafts that my kids would love I could get lost for hours. We’ve asked our friend Tori Vest, self-professed Pinterest-lover, to help us out. She’s a super savvy crafting girl, we think she did a fabulous job on this DIY project!

Enjoy Tori’s first tutorial, a DIY wreath, one of the hottest items on Pinterest!   We’d love to hear your feedback!  We’d love to have tons of fb “likes” on this post, there’s a button at the top and bottom of the post for your convenience.

You Will Need:

  • A Grapevine wreath

  • 3 Fake flowers of your choice (you can get these at any craft store ex. Hobby lobby, Michaels, etc.)

  • Burlap
  • Misc. Fabric (You won’t see this)
  • A Letter of Your Choice
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors

    (STEP 1): Make flowers.

    Cut a strip of burlap about 1in x 5in.

    (STEP 2): Twist the burlap.

(STEP 3): Roll the burlap so that it starts creating a circle.

(STEP 4): Once it is in a complete circle, hot glue the end of

the burlap to make sure that it stays together.

    image

(STEP 5): Then hot glue the burlap flower onto a misc. piece of fabric. (This is to give it more support and make sure the flower does not come unglued.)

(STEP 6): Once you have glued the burlap flower onto the fabric, cut out the flower so that you cannot see the fabric behind the flower.

    (STEP 7): Paint the letter.

(STEP 8): Hot glue everything onto the wreath.  Hang it on your front door, then stand back and admire your work.
