(UPDATE!) Publix: Competitor Coupon Policy Changes Coming….

UPDATE: New Coupon Policy already in PRINT! Read below….

Alright guys – here’s the new Publix Coupon Policy, as emailed in by several folks who already have it posted at their stores.  It’s really the same policy that my store has always enforced – save the changing competitors.  It does clarify some points that other stores have been iffy on – I’ve highlighted what I think are the most important points:

  • Publix accepts maufacturer’s coupons (limit 1 per item), Publix coupons (originals only-no copies), valid Internet coupons, and coupons from nearby competitors identified by each Publix store. (Competitor names are posted at each Publix store.)
  • We will accept coupons from competing pharmacies for prescriptions only. We will not accept percent-off-items or percent-off-total-order coupons. We will only accept coupons for identical merchandise we sell. Acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon, and we reserve the right to limit quantities.
  • We will accept a Manufacturer’s coupon and either a Publix or a competitor coupon on the same item. (= No using Mfr, Publix and competitor coupon all together)
  • Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor coupon per order.
  • The order total must be equal to or greater than the total purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented. (= NO OVERAGE)
  • Manager approval is needed for individual coupons above $5. For a buy-one-get-one free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate sale.
Each store will have a posted list of competitors so be sure and ask at your store in case there have been modifications since your last visit!

- Thanks to IHeartPublix for the heads up!

We got a comment from reader Angelese last night about the upcoming changes happening to the Publix Coupon Policy – starting May 14th.  This will affect which stores they will consider a “competitor”.  I know this will differ slightly by location – so please weigh in with your Publix comments!  *See the Publix Weekly Deals HERE

A great week at Publix for my family!!! Talked to my favorite cashier who did inform me that their coupon policy is changing in about 2 weeks or so! They will only be accepting Target, Food lion, and Bilo competitor coupons. ( I go to the one in Hixson, TN) They will be handing out cards about 1 week before with the new policy so that there is no confusion! Im going to hate losing those Walgreens coupons!

Re; the Publix photo. Where is/was that store. Corporate is trying to id it.

    • James Kenney says:

The store in the picture was in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, located at 9840 Alternate A1A.This is a picture of their grand opening in November 1963, Russell Thompson was the store manager from 1963 – 1975.
The store was replaced with a larger one in the late ’80′s, and this store was demolished.

  2. We went to Publix for 1st time in Ooltewah and loved it! Its one of the cleanest stores ever been to and the employees was super nice. Do they double coupons? I didnt have any under $1 so I didnt know if they did or not.

  3. I UNDERSTAND THAT PUBLIX DOESN’T DOUBLE COUPONS FOR OVER .50, BUT DO THEY GIVE YOU UP TO A DOLLAR ON THE .55 ONES? I SEE THIS ALL THE TIME ON THE EXTREME COUPONING SHOWS. IF THEY DON’T, THEN WHO DOES THIS?

    • i know that bilo doubles up to .55 coupons. i also know tht they hve ecoupons they apply as well which if it comes over they apply to your over all total.

  4. Does Pulix double $1.00 coupons?

  5. Darlene Marchant says:

I would very much appreciate it if you could put all of the current coupon policies on the Time2Save website. All grocery stores and all drug stores. This would be most helpful.

  6. I will miss using the RiteAid ones, but it is all good!

  7. LOVE the retro pix of Publix!!!

  8. i went to the store in Ooltewah yesterday and they told me they would begin passing the information out on the 14th and the new policy will begin on the 23rd

  9. Does anyone know what the ooltewah tn publix will accept?
