Netflix recently struck a deal with Disney that gives all Netflix viewers access to select Disney Classics – like Dumbo, Peter Pan, Pocahontas, and Alice in Wonderland.  Disney movies that don’t make it to the big screen will also go straight to Netflix.

Watch free movies and shows at home, on your computer, even your iPad or Smartphone!  You don’t have to worry about late fees, or the hassles of returning dvds.  If you haven’t tried Netflix it in awhile – lots has changed!   My family uses Netflix on a daily basis – and I think it’s worth every penny of the $7.99 a month.

Not sure how it works?  Netflix lets you instantly watch TV episodes & movies by streaming them over the Internet to your TV (via an Xbox 360, PS3, Wii or other device) or laptop.    Download the app – and you can even watch it on your iPad or SmartPhone!

If you Sign up for the Free trial today - you can start watching TODAY.  That means – you’ll be ready to have a family movie night tonight!

I honestly can’t say enough good things about Netflix – here are some reasons why we love and use them…

TV Shows we WANT to watch:

There is so much junk on tv – that it’s great to have tons of options available to watch whenever I want.  Last night we watched Wallace & Grommit (one of my husband’s faves to watch with the boys) and right now my 7 year old has picked out a Backyardigans episode, his favorite!

Movie Night – Anytime!

Anytime we want to do a movie night – we just plop down and vote on a movie.  Netflix adds new movies and tv episodes all the time – so every Friday night when we’re in the mood for a movie night, there are some new options to watch!   It’s great for having a date-night in with your husband, like watching Downton Abbey whenever we feel like it.

Girls’ Night-In anyone?   When I’m feeling girly – sometimes I just have to invite a friend over and watch a “My So Called Life” marathon – or watch 3 Meg Ryan movies in a row. Just add chocolate and Pringles and you’re set for the night!

Frugal, Family-Friendly Alternative to Cable/Satellite:

Since many of us can’t afford Cable or Dish – this is a great way to get the best of everything for just $7.99 a month.  You can be picky about what your family watches – and there are lots of family-friendly choices, believe me.  I love all the Veggie-Tales options!!

There are also NO COMMERCIALS.  EVER!!

My friend Debbie used Netflix instead of cable/satellite and loved it.  It really covered all the bases she needed covered – the kids were able to watch cartoons (including Dora, Yo Gabba Gabba, and all the others they wanted).  She and her husband had their favorite shows and lots of movies to choose from too.

You can stream Netflix through PS3, XBox360, Wii – or on your computer or phone.  You can also use a Roku or other streaming device if you don’t have one of the devices above.
