My Personal Experience: Both my friend Debbie and I did this when it used to be the ING Black Friday Sale (It worked beautifully!) a couple years ago.

I liked their free checking  so much I kept it as an extra holiday account after my trial period.   *Just so you know how – ING is now called Capital One 360.  When I signed up it was ING, but it is still the exact same account.

Comments

  1. Something good to know which I didn’t read until after I opened the savings account is that the $500 has to stay in the account for a month and then you get the bonus. The fact that I can’t touch that money may make it impossible to get the bonus, but I’ll try.
