“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve shared with y’all about my experience with Cascade’s Platinum Packs. I am happy to report, that I no longer HAVE to pre-wash my dishes, they come out clean every single time, (I had issues with having to run my dishes through two cycles sometimes before) and the inside of my dishwasher looks cleaner. I really didn’t think that there would be that much of a difference between the product I had been using and Cascade Platinum Packs, however hands down I was wrong! There really is a big difference.
Recently, some friends had us over for dinner and used mason jars for glasses. Being from the south, I have used mason jars plenty of times to drink out of, however my children had not. They were so intrigued and wanted to try it at home. Only problem, the mason jars I had were very cloudy with a funky canned green beans film. Although my kids probably didn’t mind drinking out cloudy jars it grossed me out. I thought, hey here’s a great opportunity to put Cascade’s new Platinum Packs to the test. I was so excited to see if it would work I completely FORGOT to take a before pic!! There is a huge difference between before and after! Don’t you think this strawberry lemonade looks divine!
Gail Simmons, Top Chef judge and editor of Food+Wine magazine, has partnered with Cascade to discuss why presentation is just as important as preparation. Gail says “from prep to plating: It’s more than just a great-tasting recipe, but also perfect presentation. Sparkling dishes, shining flat ware and spot-free glasses truly let you put your best food forward with culinary creations that pop!” So, I took her advice – spot-free glasses and perfect presentation by adding strawberries to the lemonade for visual appeal. Just took a minute or so, but it really made it look like I had spent time creating the perfect strawberry lemonade (actually jazzed up Crystal Light). My hubby had just gotten off work and was packing the car for a weekend trip – he asked “what’s the special occasion?” when I handed him a glass. Yea! I love creating experiences, even little ones for my family to let them know how special they are. My kids were super excited to drink out of a mason jar again, and especially loved digging out the strawberries to munch on afterwards.
