Family Free Events this Weekend!


Every weekend you can find several free family events to attend all across the country.  Here are a list of the upcoming free family events (or almost free) – if you know of any others to share, please send me a comment or email!  Happy Weekend!


The biggest thing going on this weekend is that it’s FREE Museum Weekend and FREE National Park Admission Weekend.  Now here are some other events:

Bank of America | Free Museum Weekends

  • August 2nd & 3rd

Bank of America’s Museums on Us is offering free admission to more than 150 museums nationwide. Simply present your Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card along with a photo ID to gain free general admission to any participating institution. Cardholders only; guests are not eligible for free admission. For more information about Museums on Us, visit:

Bank of America has also recently rolled out its Museums on Us site for mobile. You can check it out here on your mobile phone: It’s great for people who are traveling and want to check out if the city they are visiting has a participating museums.

Home Depot | Build and Grow Clinic

Next Home Depot kids clinic: Saturday, August 2nd from 9 AM to 12 PM ~ Build a mini-crate pencil holder. You can pre-register online here.

Lakeshore Learning | Free Saturday Workshops

  • Next workshop: Saturdary, August 2nd from 11 AM-3 PM

    Kids make and take a You Name It Door Hangar. Get more information here

Lego’s | Free Model to Build and Keep

  • Next workshop: Tuesday, August 5th at 5 PM. Kids ages 6 to 14 can build and take home a FREE Lego® Monkey Mini Build, while supplies last. Contact your closest LEGO® Store here for details.

Michael’s | Kids Club Workshops

Only $2 per child for a 30 minute reservation. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop. Sessions start every half hour from 10 am – 11:30 or 12 noon every Saturday. Get more information here.
