Donate School Supplies to Give Kids a Chance!

.

If you’ve checked out the School Supplies Deals Roundup for this week HERE, you know that you can pick up essentials like crayons, markers and glue for as little as a penny.  We at Time2Save firmly believe that one of the most rewarding parts of getting a “good deal” is being able to bless others through our giving.

With that in mind, we ask you to please consider grabbing some extra supplies during these back to school sales to donate to children who won’t be arriving at school with backpacks full of new markers and colored pencils.  Children whose parents are struggling just to put food on the table.

We’d like to highlight one opportunity for giving, sent in by reader Michele for Cleveland, TN – and encourage you to post similar programs in the comment section for providing school supplies for those in need!

North Cleveland Church of God is having a back to school program named “Give a Kid a Chance” this Saturday from 9am-1pm. This program will be giving 500 backpacks filled with school supplies, new outfits, haircuts, chiropractic exams, breakfast, etc.  All items will be free.  Register to attend by calling 423-375-5513 by Thursday – if you are in need of school supplies.

- Thank you Michele!

I am trying to find good deals on children’s board games and toys for my mother-in-law’s kindergarten class. She has been trying to get to yard sales to find toys for her students, but with knee surgery yesterday isn’t able. If anyone sees any good sales like the Hasbro game sale/rebate last year, please let me know. I’d love to be able to give the kids a bunch of new educational toys to start the school year.

I think the number to register may be 423-476-5513 instead.
