DIY Coasters: Step-by-Step Project Tutorial

Does anyone else love Pinterest? I see so many DIY décor ideas for my home, crafts that my kids would love, and recipes I want to try I could get lost for hours. We’ve asked our friend Tori Vest, self-professed Pinterest-lover, crafter, cook, and DIY extraordinaire to help us out.

Coasters DIY presentation



You will need:

  • Tiles**

  • Mod Podge

  • Twine

  • Felt

  • Scrapbook paper

  • Paint brush

  • Hot glue gun

    **You can get tiles at Lowes Home Improvement Stores for about $0.14 each



Step-by-Step Directions:

1. Cut the scrapbook paper into the size of the tile.

2. “Paint” the paper onto the tile using mod podge.

3. “Paint” 2 layers of mod podge over the paper.





4. Use the hot glue gun to glue twine around the edges of the tile.


5. Cut 4 small circles (about the size of a quarter) from the felt.


6. Hot glue the circles onto the bottom of the tile.
