Schoola Stitch: Enjoy A Clean Closet. Amazing Savings. Money for your School

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Schoola Stitch. The opinions and text are all mine.

If you love getting a great deal on gently used kids clothes while helping others at the same time, Schoola Stitch may be the perfect fit for you. Never heard of Schoola Stitch? The concept is actually quite simple: Schoola Stitch runs clothing drives at schools all around the country.  They collect gently loved clothing items and then sell them at their online storefront at up to 90% off retail prices. Then, they gift up to 40% percent of the proceeds directly back to the school who donated the items. The end result? The parents enjoy less clothing clutter, someone is able to purchase some much needed clothing at a great price, and the donating school gets cash. Everyone wins.

Does Schoola Stitch sound like a venue you would like to shop at? Start your search by finding the perfect size, brand, item type and even color. You can search by looks, styles, and gender as well. The simple search tool helps you find the perfect article of clothing for the event you need it for. Plus, don’t forget you will be able to purchase it at a great price and enjoy free shipping on orders over $50! To make this deal even sweeter (is that even possible) use the code TIME2SAVE to get an additional 30% off through 11/19.

While you shop, you can see the good you are doing by simply making a purchase. Schoola Stitch will let you know what school you are helping by your purchase as well as how much your purchase will net the school. This is a great way to buy, seeing exactly who your dollar is helping.
Does this sound like a way you would like to shop while helping others at the same time? Then request a postage paid donation bag!  Simply fill out the name of your school, seal the bag, and UPS will pick it up right from your front doorstep. There is no charge to you and a great way to get rid of clothing items you can’t use anymore. Just think what a difference it would make if every parent at your child’s school gave Schoola Stitch a try?

Give Schoola Stitch a try and see what a difference it can make to your closets, your child’s wardrobe, and your child’s school!

Marbled Brownie Recipe

We put our tree up last week in the Trenum house and are already fully in the Christmas/Thanksgiving spirit. I like to experiement with new recipes as it gets closer to the holidays. These Marbled Brownies with M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies turned out amazing! The recipe was super easy as well.

Kmart Fab 15 Toy List: New Coupon $3 off $10 Toy Purchase

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Kmart and Connect Program. The opinions and text are all mine.

I don’t know about you, but I love to shop online, especially during the Christmas season. I have two young children with no family close by, which can make “Santa” shopping problematic. What we have found that works for our family and is a fun tradition, is curling up on the couch together and perusing online with our kiddos to pick out their favorite toys. Then, later my hubby and I can make our purchases online and pick up in store to avoid shipping charges.

Kmart offers many different options to make shopping during the holiday season more convenient. If you’ve never shopped online with free store pickup I’ve included instructions below to simplify the process. Even better, there is also a printable coupons below you don’t want to miss to save $3 off your toy purchase of $10 or more.  [Read more...]

Chocolate Mint Popcorn Balls on

I haven’t made popcorn balls in years. When I was given the opportunity to try out a cool new popcorn baller from Good Cook, I immediately said yes as I knew my kids would enjoy helping me. Also, I have learned that I can incorporate lessons on fractions and measurements when we cook together.

These were so easy to make. I started with homemade microwave popcorn, then found an easy 4 ingredient recipe for the yummy sweet “sticky” part of the recipe.

Crockpot Chicken with Homemade BBQ Sauce Inspired by The Chew

Crockpot BBQ chicken

I absolutely love BBQ sauce, especially my family’s homemade recipe.  One of my favorite summertime recipes is grilled chicken hot off the grill slathered in BBQ sauce. Truthfully, I prefer twice as much sauce as chicken as you might have noticed in the image above. Recently, after watching an episode of ABC’s The Chew about BBQ chicken (see clip below) I really wanted BBQ chicken for dinner. However, I knew the next day we had already planned a full day out to the Chattanooga Duck Tour, and then Coolidge Park. So, I improvised and decided to use the crockpot instead.

I didn’t want ordinary crockpot BBQ chicken! This episode totally inspired me to make my family’s homemade BBQ sauce. Not only is the BBQ sauce amazing, the smell brought back so many wonderful memories of my daddy. I remember standing by his side so many times while he was cooking on the grill, or stirring a big pot of homemade BBQ sauce. I’ve included my family’s secret (or now not so secret) recipe below. It was so nice after a fun day out with the kiddos to have dinner almost ready when we walked in the door.
