Jamie here! Kasey did this great little tutorial below a couple years back for how to plant a succulent garden – and I totally had to go watch it this week since I decided I wanted to decorate with succulents this Spring. She gives some great tips – looks like I need to go out and get the right pot fillers before I transplant my little guys to a bigger container
I am super excited to announce that I’ll be going on an RV trip at the end of April with my family and a group of other bloggers! My family is so excited! I’ll be blogging about my trip and telling you all about it. It will be an incredible experience. We are starting out in Indiana and will be stopping along the way at The Mall of America, Jellystone National Park, and MT Rushmore to name a few. I’ve never been on an RV trip before, I think it will be a great hands on learning experience for my kids.

I don’t know about you, but with a change in season I am ready to go shopping for new Spring clothes. Since I homeschool my kids and run two businesses at home it’s not always easy for us to make it out to the stores. Personally, I prefer to shop online. Not only is it stress free, but I can also rack up extra savings by shopping online through ebates.com. And, ebates.com has generously offered to sponsor a giveaway exclusively for Time 2 $ave readers!! Before I give you details – let’s review what Ebates is and how it helps you earn money.
By going through Ebates on your way to an online merchant – your purchase is tracked and you earn a percentage back in cash! Who doesn’t like to get cash back from something they already intended to buy? This percentage back is on top of sales and coupon codes!
It really is easy to join free. I recently received a check back for right at $15 for online purchases that I made last year at Old Navy.
First, sign up for an Ebates account. Then, you’ll get your $10 Giftcard as soon as you’ve made a $25 purchase by going through Ebates. In addition to the regular cash back amount, right now many stores have doubled their cash back for the Spring Fashion Sale. The Double Cash Back runs April 8 – 21.

Jamie here! One way I keep myself from getting burnt out on couponing is to shake things up a little. When I don’t have time to get coupons together – I often stop in my local UGO for good deals. United Grocery Outlet (or UGO) is a discount grocery chain that offers bargain prices on everything from yogurt, bread and produce to name brand cereals, snacks and frozen entrees. They don’t accept coupons – but you can get some great deals there!
To give you an idea of what to expect, here are just some of the things I spotted at my store this week with prices.
Popular Name Brands
UGO carries many name brand, gluten-free, and organic items that are usually pricey. Here are a few I found this week:
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post, Wilderness at the Smokies provided my family a complimentary stay at Wilderness at the Smokies Resort to facilitate my review. As always all text and opinions are my own.
This was our first trip to Wilderness at the Smokies, Tennessee’s Largest Waterpark Resort and Family Adventure Center. Although we had driven by it many times on our way into Pigeon Forge, and our kids had oohhhed and ahhed over the giant red and white striped waterslide they could see from the road – it was our first experience. My son turned seven earlier this month, it was the perfect birthday surprise. We didn’t tell the kids we were going until the morning we left. They were beside themselves with excitement. Amazing how fast kids can move when they really want to go somewhere! [Read more...]

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine posted the following update on Facebook – “Random information to my mom friends of school age children. (not just homeschoolers…this would be great for anyone!) We are really, really enjoying The Picture Smart Bible curriculum. It teaches an overview of each book of the Bible. My kids are able to retain a lot of information because they are drawing/coloring something to remind them of each event/person. They BEG to do it each day and don’t want to stop when we are done!” Immediately I googled, The Picture Smart Bible and emailed Dan Peters, who created the curriculum and asked if he would be interested in Time 2 $ave hosting a review and giveaway. He immediately responded with a “Yes, we are blessed that so many are seeing this as God’s tool for a picture generation and want to help in “getting the word out.” [Read more...]
For the next 4 weeks I’ll be sharing a quote from my newly released book, “Couponing for the Rest of Us” and giving away two copies of my book each week. If you are worried that you have to be in love with coupons to save money, don’t worry you don’t. Instead, you simply make couponing work for you. Depending what season of life you are in right now, you might not have a lot of extra time. I understand, I don’t either. Whether you save 5% or 50% you are still saving your family money. What is most important is to finding a way for couponing to work for you. Couponing doesn’t have to become your life. [Read more...]
