Update ~ Blessed to be a Blessing.

Thank you to all of you who have responded to help the family that lost their son tragicaly in a car accident on Sunday.  Like we said in our post HERE, we want to reach out and love this family by collecting food/household grocery items to donate to them.
It is not too late we will continue to collect into next week, maybe longer if we need to.   Leave a comment below along with your email address if you want to help and we will contact you as we work out the details.

Time 2 Give – Blessed to be a Blessing

With heavy hearts we ask for your help.
A precious lady who recently attended all three workshops lost her 16 year old son in a tragic car accident on Sunday.  She had shared her excitement about couponing and how it was an answer to her prayers.  How quickly any of our lives can change in a blink of an eye.
Thinking back to the most difficult losses in our lives, Kelly’s mom passed away in a car accident, and my father of brain cancer we remember the people who stepped in and meet the physical needs in our lives.  We were blessed by those who prepared meals, brought groceries to our homes, cut the grass, answered phones, or even did laundry just so we didn’t have to.  Now, it’s our turn.

We’ll be collecting food/household grocery items to donate to the family, we hope to shower them with so much that they won’t have to worry about the bulk of their grocery shopping for months.  Since we live in Cleveland it would be helpful to have a contact person in surrounding areas that could help us collect food.  Hopefully, this would make it as simple as possible to all of you who want to help.
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

Time2Give Challenge: Day 1- Filling the truck!

This is Kelly and Kasey here, reporting from the Southern Heritage Bank parking lot, and guys, we are “freezing our tails off!”  (yes, those are Kasey’s exact words)  Hey, we know it’s cold (believe us), but we still need you and your donations to come on over and add to the pile!  We want to really pack that truck with donations for the Battered Women’s Shelter and poor families in our LOCAL area- but we need your help!  Here’s what we got just this afternoon:

(More than they’ve EVER done on the first day of the drive- Yay, couponers!)
But the BIG PUSH is Friday, the last day of the food drive.  Gather your non-perishables and bring them down to donate on Friday from 11-1.  Get in the mood for Thanksgiving by GIVING thankfully to a great cause!!

Today’s the big day! Are you READY TO GIVE??

For those of us that use coupons and other frugal-living techniques, any time is a good time to save money.  We get caught up in the race to grab all the bargains, all the time- and the results are extremely rewarding!  We can step back, look at the fruit of our labors (a full fridge and a brag-worthy receipt!) and feel the glow of contentment, of a job well done.

But in the race to Get-Get-Get, we sometimes forget to make time to Give.  And that’s what Time2Give is all about: To balance the blessings we receive, with the blessings we share.

Today we ask you to step back, take a look at your blessings, and share a little with some needy local families and the Battered Women’s Shelter.  Bring any useful items (canned goods, boxed food, toiletries, baby items, etc…) down to Southern Heritage Bank (on Keith St. in Cleveland) and we will be there to fill up the truck!

If you don’t have a stockpile yet, no problem!  What kind of damage you can do at the grocery or drugstore with just $5!  (Take a picture and send it to us- we love to share in your successes!)  Then bring your haul down on TODAY and let’s give together!  We’ll be in the parking lot from 1-4 to welcome your donations with open arms- hope to see you there!!

Yes, we are under our $5 challenge goal this trip.  Hubby and kids were in the car waiting and it was past nap time.  Need I say more?

Fellow couponers let’s band together and show the world how much we can give because of couponing.  E-mail your donation pictures and we’ll post a slide show to encourage and challenge each other.

We can make a difference in so many lives, be purposeful.  We are blessed so that we can be a blessing.

Send pics, ideas and deal finds to time2save@hotmail.com.  We don’t have to post your name.  So don’t be bashfull.

The $5 Time 2 Give Challenge

We told you a couple of weeks ago that we were going to make a determined focus on giving.  We issue a new challenge;  TIME 2 GIVE $5 CHALLENGE!
What can you do with $5?
Fellow Couponistas and Couponistos let’s band together – start your donation stock pile NOW and lets see how much we can all collect over the next couple of weeks!  We have a Holiday Donation project we hope that you’ll help us with.  How many families can we feed when we join together as “couponers” for a common goal?
Send us pictures of your $5 grocery haul and share your testimonial with us so that others can see.  We want to post a slide show of YOUR donations.  If we can challenge each other to save, wouldn’t it be awesome to challenge each other to give?

Come back tomorrow and we’ll tell you more about the $5 challenge.  We’ll post a couple of our pictures along with scenarios that match this weeks sales.
Be purposeful in your shopping, include your family, teach your children the importance of serving others and look for people you can bless.
It is truly better to give than to receive.

Once you learn to save, it’s then time to Give!! It is truly a greater blessing to give than it is to receive!! We wanted to challenge all of our Time 2 $ave Couponistas and Couponistos to give back. Food pantries everywhere are dry. Email us and let us know what you have been able to give. Send us your ideas. We don’t have to include your name; I know its fun to be a secret giver.

Pray for opportunities, God will always be faithful to a heart that gives. Many blessings to all of you!
We look forward to hearing from you.
