Walgreens: $5 off Coupon for Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Nautica or Beckham Fragrance!

I used pictures of myself and Kasey here, as you can tell, we are just perfect for each other!

Walgreens is offering a coupon good for $5 off Select Fragrances  on their Facebook page this week – and all you have to do is “Play Cupid!”  It’s pretty fun actually, you click on the Play Cupid tab on the left sidebar, and pick a silly scene.  Now pick 2 of your Facebook Friends and insert their faces in the scene.  You’ll then be able to print this $5 PDF Coupon!

The coupon says: $5 off any Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, David Beckham or Nautica Fragrance.  I wonder if there is a little bitty size that this would make super-cheap??  Please let me know if you find one!!

Store Savings: Navigating Our Menus

Thanks for visiting our updated blog.  The menus are much easier to navigate and easier to read.

See Screen Shots below if you need help navigating your way around.

To find grocery store matchups, hoover your mouse over the “store saving” menu, then a  drop down menu appears.

Click grocery store for store matchups and savings.  The link takes you to a list of grocery store icons.

Click a logo from the list above to choose each grocery store matchups.

Drug Stores Follow the Same Steps.  Hoover Mouse over store savings until the drop down menu appears.

Then Scroll down to the Drug Store for match-ups and click.

After clicking Drug Stores, a list of store logos pops up.

Choose drug store by clicking store logo.

Again, follow same steps to see National Stores.  Scroll down to National Discount Stores and click.

The National Retail Store Menu takes you to the store logos.   Just as Grocery Stores and Drug Stores, click a store to see match-ups.

Hope this helps you to find the stores you are looking for.

Kmart Super Doubles BOOTCAMP!! (Updated for 4th of July Sale)

ATTEN–TION!

K-mart Super Doubles is here again!  All of you who plan to join the fray should be thoroughly prepared  -  so I’ve prepared a Kmart Super-Doubles Bootcamp to help you train….

Part I

What IS Kmart Super-Doubles?

Kmart Super-Doubles is an exciting (although often frustrating) week of shopping.  During this week, Kmart will double manufacturer coupons up to $2 (Doubled up to $4!)  This makes lots of items FREE – and most people like to play the “Get only the free stuff and leave” game during this event.  This time, Kmart has added some strict rules to the game, and before you can even play you’ll have to sign up for the Kmart Shop Your Way Rewards Card. You can do this in-store at customer service and it will be effective immediately.
.
Here are the other rules you need to know:
- To see the list of participating Kmart stores, click HERE
-This round of Super Doubles is ONLY good for Healthy & Beauty Items
-Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 value will be doubled
-In-store Activation MUST BE tied to your Shop Your Way to Rewards card
-Does not include Kmart Store Coupons
-Limit 5 total coupons per customer per day
-First 5 coupons provided by customer will be doubled

Part III

Catalina Deal Going On During Super-Doubles

I’ll have some scenario ideas once I know more prices for those catalina items.   If they’ll allow Pampers to count – this could make for a great deal on diapers/wipes. For example (and this includes lots of guesstimation here!):

Buy (5) Wipes Tubs around $2.99 + Big Box Pampers around $19.99 = About $35
Use (5) $2/1 Pampers Wipes (Will doubles) + $2/1 Pampers Diapers (Won’t Double, limit is 5 Doubled Q’s)
Total $23 ~ Get $10 Coupon Back = $13 for Five tubs of wipes + Big Box of Pampers!

*******************************************************************

PART IV

Why your friends might look at you like you’re a crazy-person for going.
Kmart Doubles is a bad word for some, and with good reason!  Here are some troubles folks have run into – and hopefully they’ve fixed all those problems by now.
  • In the past, there have been little or no coupon limits, meaning folks would arrive at the store after hours days of preparation to find the shelves cleared of every freebie. The 5 limit fixes this – but you’ll still have to get there early for the good freebies.
  • K-Mart is known for being unpredictable about coupons in general – but ESPECIALLY during Super-Doubles week.  Sometimes if an item is $3.95 and you try to use a $2 coupon (which will double to $4) it will go through fine.  Other times, it will just not double.  Other times the cashier will look at you as if you were trying to steal something and hand it back.
  • Lots of folks are unhappy about the *5* coupon limit, because with the hassle involved, it’s almost not worth the trip.  For those who might try to get around that rule, be warned: The *5* Coupon-Per-Day limit will be tied to your K-Mart Rewards Card.
  • At one time, Internet Printables weren’t accepted, then they were.  Then they weren’t again.  And so on and so forth – you get the picture…. typical Kmart-ness.

The list of troubles can get quite long, so let’s just say – it’s been rough for some.  The main thing to remember is to be calm, kind, and sane enough to let the toothpaste go if you have to.  Then, when you get home, call 1-866-562-7848 and speak to a Customer Service rep.  Hopefully, you can get your issue resolved quickly and efficiently!

MORE Frugal Father’s Day Gift Ideas!

deardad-1

Father’s Day is only 9 days away- so what do you get for your kids’ very own Superman?  Or for your very own Superman, for that matter?  If you want to treat dear ol’ dad right, and still be budget-savvy, here are a few more things to add to your list of options (See more ideas HERE HERE):

Is dad a fan of Baseball, or maybe just likes a stadium dog more than life itself?  Then take him out to the ballgame!  There are some sweet B1G1 promotions at minor league teams all over the country!  (See my post HERE)

  • Throw in a $3 Subscription to ESPN (See HERE) & a $10 Nike Shirt or Cap (See HERE) – and you’ve got an AWESOME sports gift!
.
Sears is offering a “Spend $50 in Men’s Apparel, Get $50 in Sears Rewards Cash”. See my post all about it HERE.  Split it up between your hubby and your dad even – to knock out both gifts!
.
grill

If your dad is the grilling type, then let him do what he loves best for Father’s Day- Grill.  And for a present?  A grill apron, of course!  To make: buy a plain white apron (can often be found at a Dollar Store for $1) and paint your kids’ hands.  Have them put handprints around the border of the apron, and in the middle write something like “King of the Grill” or “Fire Chief”.

  • Then get him some awesome meat to bring tears of joy to his eyes with a Father’s Day deal from Omaha Steaks (See my post HERE)
  • In addition, you could help the kids throw together a Homemade BBQ Rub with kitchen ingredients- and put it in a manly shaker with a homemade label.  Here’s one recipe, courtesy of www.bbqrecipesecrets.com:
- 8 tablespoons (120 mL) paprika
- 6 tablespoons (90 mL) garlic powder
- 6 tablespoons (90 mL) salt
- 5 tablespoons (75 mL) black pepper
- 3 tablespoons (45 mL) cayenne
- 3 tablespoons (45 mL) onion powder
- 2 tablespoons (30 mL) dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons (30 mL) dried thyme
Just combine the ingredients and store in a dry container or plastic bag.
